The forty-third yearly Golden Joystick Awards unfolded recently, and through an impressive show, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 emerged as the biggest winner. This standout role-playing game from Sandfall Interactive won the coveted Ultimate Game of the Year award, along with prizes for Outstanding Narrative and Best Visual Design.

Enhancing the studio's triumph, the talented performers also garnered individual awards. Jennifer English won Best Lead Performer for her role as Maelle, while Ben Starr earned Supporting Performance Award for his work as Verso. Additionally, Sandfall Interactive the studio received Studio of the Year. Overall, Clair Obscur and its makers achieved 7 awards during the ceremony.

Additional standout winners included Ghost of Yōtei, which was awarded Outstanding Audio and Top Console Title, and Hollow Knight: Silksong, winning Top Self-Published Indie and Best PC Game. Worth mentioning, the majority of Golden Joystick Awards are voted on by the audience, with only four special—Critics' Pick, Breakthrough Award, Hall of Fame inductee, and Streamers’ Choice—decided by reviewers.
