Close to Ninety Flights Linked to Jeffrey Epstein Allegedly Landed at or Took Off from UK Airfields
A review has identified that approximately 90 aircraft journeys linked to the late financier Jeffrey Epstein reportedly landed at and took off from UK airports, with some allegedly carrying British women who claim they were exploited by the convicted child sex offender.
Aviation Records Uncover Trail of Travel
The flight logs were part of thousands of court documents and papers made public by Epsteinâs estate that have been released over the last year. The investigation found 87 flights connected to Epstein â encompassing many that were not previously known â arriving or departing from British airfields between the start of the 1990s and 2018.
Passenger Details and After Guilty Verdict Flights
Unnamed female passengers were documented among the travelers travelling into and out of the UK. Notably, 15 of these British airport journeys occurred subsequent to Epsteinâs 2008 conviction for soliciting sex from a underage person.
âThis is âshockingâ that there had never been a âfull-scale UK investigationâ into his dealings in the country,â remarked American attorneys acting for hundreds of Epstein survivors.
UK Survivors and Court Cases
Testimony from one of the British victims aided the conviction of Epsteinâs accomplice socialite Ghislaine Maxwell of sex trafficking of minors in the US in 2021. However, that individual has not received any contact by British law enforcement, according to her attorney based in Florida.
In a statement, the Metropolitan police stated they had ânot received any further evidence that would support reopening the investigation.â They noted, âIf fresh and pertinent information be brought to our attention, encompassing any arising from the disclosure of material in the US, we will review it.â
Continuing Disclosure and Legal Rulings
A bill to make public every document held by the American government in concerning Epstein passed the US Congress last month. The Department of Justice has until 19 December to comply. Hundreds of thousands of papers are expected to be made public.
Additionally, a US judge ordered last week that the DOJ could make public case files from a sex-trafficking case against Maxwell, Epsteinâs close friend, who is serving a 20-year jail term over the charges.
