Kansas City Chiefs Confirm Alleged Abuse Allegations Connected to Wide Receiver Rashee Rice
The Kansas City Chiefs released a comment on Wednesday evening confirming they are aware of claims of abuse circulated in online accounts by a ex-partner of player Rashee Rice and were in communication with the league office.
The organization omitted the name of Rice specifically in their statement and stated they would have “nothing more to add at this time”.
Allegations Shared on Instagram
The woman, who likewise did not name the athlete directly, shared a set of images on Instagram that seemed to depict indicators of bodily harm. Jones stated the person involved was the father of her children, and reports indicate she has two children with Rice, whom the team selected in the second round.
