Mohamed Salah Extends Regret to Liverpool Dressing Room, Reveals Curtis Jones
Jones has disclosed that the Egyptian forward expressed regret to the group of players in the wake of the fallout from his public comments.
The Incident
Salah was left out from a vital match after voicing frustrations and claiming his rapport with Arne Slot had broken down.
“Salah is an individual and he can say his own stuff,” Jones told Sky Sports. “He apologised to us and was like: ‘If my words hurt anyone, please accept my apology.’”
The manager has chosen not to reveal on whether he received a personal apology from the veteran striker.

He emphasized that the team's response was unchanged. “Nothing about him changed, he was smiling and we all treated him normally,” the midfielder explained.
Jones also implied that a player's desire to start is preferable. “It's clear there are specific approaches you can handle situations,” he said. “Yet, should someone be happy to just not start, then I think that’s concerning.”
On-Field Response
The team's performance have stayed unbeaten in the matches since the situation. He feels the forward's comments were not intended to destabilise the squad.
“When there’s been any sort of anger, it has consistently come from a good place,” he finished. “It's behind us and we’re building chemistry, getting results and securing victories.”
