The former president's Family Member Gets Expert Guidance from Golf Legend Woods Prior to LPGA First Appearance
The rising star boasts substantial online audience
Kai Trump will have plenty of well-known backers as she begins her first LPGA appearance later this week.
The 18-year-old athlete, who happens to be the granddaughter of Donald Trump, received a special exemption to participate at Florida's Annika event in the Sunshine State.
The former president, a passionate golfer, possesses several international courses and regularly competes against Kai.
"He's quite skilled. I shouldn't elaborate but we have competitive games," she mentioned.
She mentioned that her grandfather, who won't be present, told her: "Simply avoid anxiety."
"My grandpa basically advised me to compete and enjoy myself," she continued.
"From my perspective, he's simply a normal grandpa. He won't be there for the tournament. He's occupied with presidential duties, so he's somewhat preoccupied."
Being non-professional, the golfer has competed in only three events recently and has the 461st position in the American Junior Golf Association rankings.
However she can seek guidance from Tiger Woods, in a relationship with Vanessa.
"He stands as the top athlete globally," the young golfer said.
"Additionally, he's an even better person. He suggested me to play, enjoy myself, and go with the flow."
The golfer will compete against several the biggest names in women's golf at the Annika, including world number two Nelly Korda, England's Charley Hull, Lexi Thompson and 2023 champion champion Vu.
The LPGA stated that her participation helps introduce the sport to different demographics, especially reaching the next generation.
Kai has substantial online presence and recently launched an exclusive apparel and wellness brand.
The competition starts at 17:30 GMT.
