Two men have been charged related to a luggage theft where a substance thought to be irritant spray caused injuries at London's Heathrow Airport.

Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, are accused of two counts of robbery and charges for administering a noxious substance, according to official statements.

This legal action stems from an probe of an attack at the multi-storey car park at Terminal 3 on Sunday. Before the assault occurred, two women were robbed of their luggage stolen after getting out of a parking garage elevator, police said.

A young child was caught up in the incident during the incident. Five people required hospital care and were later discharged.

The incident – which authorities stated was not part of a series and deemed non-terroristic – resulted in train delays and the temporary blocking of the main airport road tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park for a short time.
